Long Distance

Long Distance is a compelling abstract tapestry by Man Ray, drawn from his seminal Revolving Doors series and woven in 1973 by Atelier 3 in Paris. Originally conceived in 1916, the composition reflects the artist’s early and influential engagement with abstraction, forming a bridge between Dada experimentation and the emerging language of Surrealism.

At the center of the work is a dialogue between form and space. Bold, biomorphic shapes intersect with sharper geometric elements, creating a composition that feels both balanced and in tension.
