We are thrilled to announce that Boccara Gallery will exclusively present the complete Man Ray “Revolving Doors” tapestry series in New York beginning November 5, 2025.
Contemporary Tapestry
Boccara Gallery celebrates contemporary textile art through the exceptional work of Atelier 3. Founded in Paris in 1972, this collective of weavers reinterprets the creations of painters, photographers, and designers using ancestral low-warp techniques. Each tapestry is crafted from the front, without numbered cartoons, allowing for a living interpretation of the artwork in real time. The result is a vibrant dialogue between modern artistic expression and traditional craftsmanship, thread after thread.
French Antique Tapestry & Rugs
The Boccara Gallery houses a distinguished selection of antique French tapestries and rugs, chosen for their historical significance, visual harmony, and remarkable preservation. These masterpieces, mostly woven in Aubusson and the Gobelins tradition, reflect centuries of savoir-faire and aesthetic refinement. From pastoral scenes to allegorical compositions, each tapestry tells a story rooted in the cultural heritage of France. This collection reflects the gallery’s long-standing expertise and passion for textile history.
Artistic Rugs
Boccara Gallery presents a rare and refined collection of artistic rugs, created in collaboration with major 20th-century artists. Each piece is hand-knotted in renowned French or international workshops, using traditional techniques and exceptional materials. These rugs embody both the vision of the artists and the excellence of textile craftsmanship, offering a unique fusion of design, texture, and narrative. Curated by Didier Marien, this selection continues to elevate the status of rugs as true works of art.
